With a lifetime product warranty, simply contact us and request to have the light replaced. If it’s within the first two years after installation, labour is free too!

The answer is sometimes. If the glitch or fault occurs within the RGB components then it will only affect that diode. The light may turn a different colour or shut off completely. If the glitch or fault occurs within the data wire of the affected diode, it may affect all the lights after it in the line. Either way it is a quick and simple repair, where we will simply swap out the affect light to correct the issue. 

The lifetime depends on how often your system is in use. On average, Trimlight diodes last between 20-30 years (based on daily nighttime use.) If the lights are left on constantly through the day and night, this will inevitably reduce the lifetime of the lights. 

The Trimlight Edge app is an app driven technology which will not work with PCs at this time. It is designed to work with any iphone or android device. The app will also work with most Mac computers since they are also app driven.

Unfortunately no. Your lighting system is designed to be a permanent fixture on the home. While it can be removed, the lights and channel are specifically cut and colour matched to your existing home and would not be able to be adapted to a new home without significant modification.

With RGB lights, pure white is created using a combination of red, green and blue to create the pure white colour. Therefore, pure white may appear to have a blue hue to some people. We recommend looking at the pure white colour from a distance before adjusting the system. If you want to remove the blue hue, you can customize the colour setting by typing 255 in each box below the R-G-B codes. From here, slowly decrease the number in the blue category until you see a white you like.

You can rename a saved pattern by connecting to your app, press enter, then click on the clock icon at the bottom right. Here you will see a list of all current patterns. Swipe left on the pattern you would like to rename and you will see an option appear to rename or delete the pattern.

Simply locate your white Trimlight controller, unplug it for 1 minute, then plug back in. You can also cut power to the controller by pulling out the green cube next to the blue or green light for 1 minute then plugging back in. This will clear an error codes in your controller wihtout deleting any patterns or timers you have saved. 

No, the controller has a built in battery so all saved programs and timers will not be lost with the loss of power. We do recommend always keeping the controller plugged in unless performing a hard or soft reset. 

The “pair a new device” button allows you to pair your system to your home network. Keep in mind we cannot guarantee the system will connect to your home network based on many variables outside our control such as the type of router/modem, firewall settings, potential obstacles, interference from other devices, etc.

Pad Pal is proud to say that Trimlight provides an industry leading lifetime product warranty. This warranty covers any components of the system for the life of those components. When used properly, the components in the system should last 20 to 30 years. If the system is left on 24 hours a day this will significantly diminish the lifetime of the product. 

Yes, your app comes with presets for warm white on the custom colour palette screen. Click on the colour circle labeled WW which is the first circle on the second row. You may also type in RGB codes directly into the boxes below the R-G0-B settings for any custom colours you may want. 

Yes, but we strongly recommedn that you do not overlap the daily timer with the calendar event. For example, you can create a calendar event for a holiday and set that to run from 7pm to 11pm. Then you could set a daily timer to come on from 11:01pm to midnight. As long as the timers do not overlap, your multiple presets will work correctly. 

You can save up to 30 patterns at a time. You can easily update of replace patterns by swiping left on the patterns you would like to rename or delete.

You can show up to 7 colours at a time and program up to 30 lights of each colour. For example, you can program 30 red, 15 orange, 1 purple, 5 white, etc. The key is to not program more than 30 per colour with up to 7 different colours in each pattern created. 

Control boxes are recommended to be installed on an interior wall of either the garage or carpoty. The system plugs into a regular outlet. The control box is weather proof, however, Pad Pal strongly recommends an interior wall for the protection of the control box, proximity to wifi, and a more discreet aesthetic.

Pricing relies heavily on the scope of your project and complexity of the install. Prices for the front of a residential home range on average between $2,000 – $6,000. This is a very cost effective project considering the lifetime product warranty, technology in use, and Pad Pal’s numerous payment plan offerings.

Using only LED technology, each diode uses 0.6 watts of power. This means that most homes entire systems will use less energy thatn 1-2 incandescent light bulbs. Our diodes use 1/10 the energy of incandescent bulbs and last 10 times longer. 

Since our residential lighting diodes have no lens or covering, it is just the direct LED showing out of the channel, the LEDs will not fade, get cloudy or become discoloured over time like many of exterior LEDs that have a casing. Furthermore, our residential lights face downwards from the channel, provide the ideal aesthetic, as well as futher protection from the sun.
