Understanding the Process

Asphalt Seal Coating & Repairs

Seal Coating

Seal Coating

Seal coating is the process of applying an emulsified asphalt membrane to the pavement surface. This protects the asphalt from oxidation, fuel spills and surface cracking which lead to the deterioration and cracking of the existing asphalt.

Crack Filling

Crack Sealing

Crack sealing is the process of cleaning eligible cracks of debris and vegetation before applying hot rubberized crack filler. This creates an airtight seal with the asphalt, expanding and contracting with the weather to protect against further cracking.

Line Painting

Line painting is the process of using your choice of colour of government-approved paint to either restripe or reconfigure the lines for directing traffic and keeping pedestrians safe. Line painting can also be completed in between seal coating cycles.

Pothole Repair

Pothole repair is the process of cleaning and preparing potholes before applying new hot asphalt to the open area. The new asphalt is graded and compacted for a levelled finish to the existing asphalt. We recommend seal coating after for consistent protection.
